QUICK GUIDE TO SUPPLYING YOUR ARTWORK
SUPPLYING ARTWORK Digital files should be supplied on the following media: • CD • Zip Disk • Floppy Disk Small files can also be received via email at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it An approved signed hard copy must be supplied as a proof for us to check the supplied files against. This allows us know exactly what you want, so we can notify you of any differences. An approved PDF or JPG will be sufficient as a proof for emailed artwork. Please supply a list of filenames (including images & fonts) contained on the disk/cartridge/CD so we can ensure we have all required files. Important: You should retain original copies of the supplied files as Auzprint does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of supplied files. FONTS Auzprint may not have the correct version of your fonts on their system so it is important to supply your fonts in Mac format. Please include any fonts used in linked files, or alternatively the fonts can be converted to curves prior to sending the files to us. COLOUR All files should be CMYK format unless specific spot colours are to be used. If using spot colours please supply a hard copy list of the Pantone colour and type the number (in the pantone colour that it refers to) at the top of your supplied document. Colour reproduction can vary from supplied proofs. Colour reproduction can be influenced by the stock (paper). IMAGES All images should be CMYK format unless specific spot colours are to be used (eg duotones). If using spot colours please supply a hard copy list of the Pantone colour, and type the number (in the pantone colour that it refers to) at the top of your supplied document. Minimum Resolution = 300 dpi Minimum Dimension = Actual Image Size File types should be EPS or TIFF BLEED & TRIMS Auzprint requires a 2mm bleed on all edges. Registration and crop marks should be placed outside bleed and image area to an even number. i.e. 14mm NOT 14.3mm. TRAPPING Where colours 'butt up' against each other, the lighter colour should be enlarged to create a slight overlap of the two colours that connect. 0.14 pts is the standard. This will help minimise the effect of print miss-register. BOOKWORK Artwork being supplied for bookwork should be imposed by Client into printers spreads. Creep should be calculated into your imposition - please contact Auzprint for these details. Auzprint can do the imposition for you for an additional charge. Failure to meet the above requirements when supplying artwork will result in additional artwork charges to you. These specifications were deemed correct at the time of publishing For further information please contact your |
